Human beings have their own limitations. There is a limit on how much they can give and take. There is a limit on how much they can endure. There is a clear boundary line for emotional endurance and psychological implication. There is a limit on how much he/she can take and adjust. When the threshold or limit is crossed, it takes the shape of stress. This can be due to anything that falls beyond the handling capacity of the human mind.
In this modern world, stress has become an inevitable entity. So in order to be successful, it is mandatory that a person should master this art of handling stress. Always remember it is not the stress that matters, it is the way how you handle the stress that makes the difference.
Stress is not the basic attribute that you are born with. You are born with anger or desire but not stress. When you can easily manage your primordial instincts like anger and desire, you can also easily manage your stress. Here’s how you can do it.
Relieve Yourself From the faulty Thought Process: It’s “all in the mind.” All you need is to regulate your thoughts. The way you look at things and the way you analyze them directly affects your way of dealing with them. Try to focus on what needs to be done rather than thinking about the results. If the action is correct, the outcome will definitely be good.
You are Your Own Saviour: You need to understand this. No one else can make your life better. Nothing works better than strong willpower and your quest for a stress-free life. It is you and only you who can mold your life the way you want it to be.
Stop Expecting From Others: This is what works best in stress caused by unhealthy relationships. Never expect others to offer a helping hand. It is better to only trust yourself and try to make a way out on your own.
Count Your Blessings: God, or call it nature, if you want, has gifted every person with something or the other. In your search for what you want, you usually don’t value what you have at your disposal. Look around, you have so many things to appreciate. All you need is the eye to see the things you have and the mind to appreciate everything you have. This will help to curb all the feelings of failure and disappointment.
Validation: Before you begin to worry, always validate whether the problem is really so intense that you can allow it to bother you mentally and psychologically. We often tend to worry about issues that will hold no significance in the later stages of life.
Problems With No Solution: Stress is the main outcome of trying to find a solution to every problem. Some problems either don’t have a solution or the solution is beyond your control. You have to learn to live with them happily and that too in a calm, composed manner. The problem will soon recede and makes its own way out. Time has great healing powers. Problems that appear too big at present will not at all matter in the due course of life. So there is no point in overthinking and spoiling the present.
Healthy and Active Lifestyle: A healthy mind resides in a healthy body. Focus on your health and fitness. Endorphins released in this process will start making you feel better. This will help to improve your capacity for handling stress.
Adopt a Positive Outlook: The world is full of negativity. It depends on our ability to choose the positive elements from it. If you think about good things, they will come to you sooner or later.
Give Yourself Time: The so-called “ME” time is important if you want to distress yourself. Take out time for yourself (small or big), pamper yourself, and do anything that makes you feel happy.
Accept the Change: Sometimes your stringent attitude is the sole reason for stress in your life. Try to regulate control over yourself.
Life brims with problems. You cannot skip from the problems that you come across while living your life. How you deal with these incidents and situations makes your life good or bad.
4 Simple Ways to be Happy, Contended, and Life Stress-Free Life
What are the things that make you happy and contented? If you ask me this question, I would say loving and caring family, good friends, and well-managed relationships bring happiness in life. People are either obsessed with what has happened in the past or what will happen in the future; nonetheless, life is all about what is happening at the present moment. By constantly thinking about the past or just worrying about the future, people only miss everything that is happening in the present.
Whatever happened to you before, you cannot do anything about it now. You know nothing about the future. So it is advisable to live in the present, enjoy the moment and be happy. Here are some of the things that you can consider to become happy, contended, and live a stress-free life.
Dream about good and positive things in life: Unhappy people are dull people, boring in other words. To dream about the future and opportunities and to work for the realization of those dreams is really what tops my list on how to become happy, contended, and live a stress-free life. There is nothing better and more satisfying than to slowly but surely get closer and closer to your dreams. Your dream could be anything. It might be to buy a house and renovate it, to get in shape or anything else for that matter. It is only you who can achieve your dream and it is you who has to make an effort.
Do not be in a bad state of mind and health: Your health is your life and therefore, you have to take care of your health at any cost. Start immediately if you do not do it now. A few simple things can make you feel better, for example, exercise is not only a way to make you healthy and fit but also makes you feel happy.
Do not compare yourself with others: Those who compare themselves with others, with colleagues, neighbors, relatives, or whoever it may be, are always dissatisfied with life. If you have that habit, you should knock it off immediately. You are unique in your own way. You do not know the person you are comparing with yourself, do you know how happy he is? How satisfied is he with his life? He might look happy from the surface, but deep down he might be feeling hollow. You only judge others by what you see of them externally. Every one of them has their own problems and shortcomings and is struggling to deal with them.
Human beings have a natural urgency to make comparisons. They always compare themselves with others. They compare their income with other peoples’ income, they compare their kids’ performance with other individuals kids’ etc. Making comparisons cannot be always considered bad, but the important thing is what you compare with. If you want to compare, why don’t you compare your persona with your own personality? For instance, you can compare the current you with the past you. You can make comparisons between the person you were one year ago with the person you are now. This will help you understand yourself letting you see the progress you have made. You also need to be kinder to yourself as well as the people around you. If you are hard on yourself and hard on other people, you are likely to be very pessimistic. Pessimism ultimately kills you. Kindness makes you a better person. Kindness also makes you a happy person.
